About me
I am Dr. Abdulaziz AlRashed, a consultant dermatologist, cosmetic & laser specialist. I trained in Ireland and the UK, worked across Kuwait's public and private sectors, and today I see my patients at my private clinic at Kuwait Hospital (Sabah Al-Salem). Through @dermaq8 — followed by more than 175,000 people across Kuwait and the GCC — I share evidence-based skin health content, because I believe accurate information belongs to everyone.
My journey
I studied medicine at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI), graduating in 2006, then completed an MSc in Clinical Dermatology at King's College London with clinical training at St John's Institute of Dermatology — one of the UK's most respected dermatology centres.
I completed my dermatology residency at the Kuwait Institute for Medical Specializations (2009–2014), with comprehensive training in adult and pediatric dermatology, immunodermatology, dermatologic surgery, laser and dermatopathology.
I progressed at Farwaniya Hospital from Senior Registrar to Specialist, Senior Specialist and Consultant, and remained with the Ministry of Health until I resigned from government service in 2024, alongside private practice in Kuwait since 2017 (as a consultant dermatologist since 2023). I also served as a clinical tutor in Farwaniya Hospital's dermatology department (2015–2023), and I serve as an examiner for the Arab Board of Dermatology. Since 2026 I see my patients at my private clinic at Kuwait Hospital (Sabah Al-Salem).
My MSc thesis and Arab Board dissertation were both on acne and post-acne scarring — which explains my special clinical interest in that field. I was awarded 2nd place (2015) and 3rd place (2014) at the Dubai Dermatology International Conference.

In clinic
I treat both medical and cosmetic dermatology — acne and acne scars, psoriasis, eczema and hair loss, through to Botox, fillers, chemical peels and laser — with particular attention to Gulf skin types (Fitzpatrick III–V), and I keep up international courses and conferences to stay aligned with the latest evidence.
