The advice

  1. During: an intense cold sting for seconds; mild throbbing may continue for hours afterwards — paracetamol is enough.
  2. Within 24 hours a blister may form (sometimes blood-filled) — expected and part of the treatment; do not pop it, and if large and painful the doctor can drain it sterilely.
  3. Wash normally, apply Vaseline and cover with a plaster until healed — no alcohol or peroxide.
  4. A crust forms and falls within 1–3 weeks (longer on the feet); do not pick it.
  5. Warts usually need repeated sessions every 2–4 weeks until fully clear — skipping appointments lets the wart regrow.
  6. Between sessions: resume the prescribed salicylic acid once the skin heals, keep the wart covered, use your own towel, and wear slippers in shared wet areas.
  7. A lighter or darker mark may remain after healing and usually improves with time.
  8. Contact us for: spreading redness, pus, or fever.
