Skin Boosters & Mesotherapy – Aftercare

A patient advice sheet — 7 practical points. Reviewed and updated by Dr. Abdulaziz AlRashed, July 2026.

The advice

  1. Skin boosters are micro-injections of hyaluronic acid or vitamins for hydration and glow — they are not a filler and do not change your features.
  2. Small bumps at the injection points are normal and usually settle within 24–72 hours (slightly longer with some products); minor bruising can occur.
  3. No make-up for 24 hours, no massaging the area, and sleep on your back the first night.
  4. Avoid high heat, sauna, steam and hard exercise for 24–48 hours.
  5. Minimise blood thinners (aspirin, ibuprofen) and alcohol for a day before and after if possible — paracetamol is fine.
  6. The result (hydration, glow, texture) develops over 2–4 weeks; the usual program is 2–3 sessions 3–4 weeks apart, then maintenance.
  7. Rare warning signs — call immediately: severe increasing pain, pale or mottled skin, or ulceration.
